Bacchus Foundation Supports the Kansas City Community

In the 2006 - 2007 fundraising year all Bacchus events benefited Kansas City's Good Samaritan Project, an AIDS service provider.  With the great support of Bacchus volunteers and the incredible involvement of GSP we were able to sell out every event, including Freezerburn at the VooDoo Lounge, Fowl Play at the American Royal BBQ, T4 Kick-Off at Sol Cantina, Terror at the Train Station 4, Masquerade, and Cinco de Drinko.

The donation funded their Emergency Assistance Program, which does everything from providing medications and prescription drugs to helping pay heat bills during the winter months.  These funds were cut from government programs that had been funding these services. The Children's SPOT - The Bacchus Foundation beneficiary of 2005 - 2006  Kevin Farrell, Bacchus President during the 2005 - 2006 fundraising year, and Joe Gregg, current Bacchus President, present a check to The Children's SPOT at St. Luke's Hospital.  The money donated will help build a sensory development room for the Children's SPOT's new facility.
